The North Carolina Community Development Initiative is a nonprofit organization that attracts public and private funding and resources and deploys them strategically to high-performing community organizations around the state to create economic growth in hard-hit and distressed areas.

We worked with the Initiative to clearly articulate the value it offers both investors and community partners — making strategic financial investments, leading innovation and training effective community economic development leaders.

We teamed with design partner Liaison Design Group to translate that brand value into a new logo and graphic identity for the Initiative and its investment arm, Initiative Capital.

With then worked with Initiative management to design and implement a comprehensive messaging and content marketing strategy — including annual report, fact sheets, e-newsletter, webinars and redesigned website — that engages investors and community partners in a single vision and plan for community economic development in North Carolina.
